A Very Great Weekend

Good day everyone! How's life doing on you? Are you all good? Mine is great! I just came from a 3 days and 2 nights Youth Camp held at Corpus Christi Parish Basement. It was a great weekend for me just seeing the young ones having fun and experiencing God's love.

I was a part of the service team during the camp. It was so tiring and exhausting making sure everything is alright. There were many harassment during the camp: from small things like equipments failing, lack of supplies to people problems. The fact that the whole service team doesn't know each other because of so many support service teams from other chapters became a problem itself.

Personally, I got a problem with my hygiene because of the time. I wasn't able to take a bath for three days. (LOL!) I remembered an experience where I wasn't able to take a bath for one day and to top that, I wore an unwashed uniform. I felt very dirty that day. That's what I felt during the last day of the camp but I have no time to feel bad because I was so tired.

But on top of that, it was a very blessed and touching experience. You can really feel God's presence every time you see the young ones smile. God bless everyone and keep the faith and love intact!

CFC - Kids for Christ Senior Kids' Camp

Good morning guys! I just want to share the happiness that I experienced last weekend. We had our first Senior Kids' Camp at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Basement. It was really an amazing weekend full of energy amassed by the kids.

We handled 76 kids with age ranging from 8-12 yrs old. So you could imagine us running around with them not because we wanted to play with them always but because they wanted to play with us. Running around like beads that fall and scatter to all angles imaginable.

But at the end of the camp, you could only be very happy seeing their happy faces knowing that they had a great time not just having fun but also learning and experiencing God through our love and care. That, I think is the essence of being a servant. To serve and share the love that God has shown us and not choosing when you are not tired and available but doing it in any way and on any chance possible.

Q for U Opening

Good day guys! How are you? I am feeling great and blessed. It sure feels good to be with friends, especially to see them strive hard to reach their dreams. It makes me strive harder also.

Last night, we went to the opening of Q for U food house. This food house is owned by the Panerio's.

Q for U offers chicken barbecues: thigh parts and breast parts. It has it's own unique taste that makes you yearn for more. It is still a small-time food house but I can see a future with it. I have a feeling it will grow larger. And that is with God's guidance.

We had a great time talking. But I was more of an observer because it's my first time to be with these ladies. I can see that they really share a great bond. You can see them on the picture. That is (from left to right) Mich, Sweet, Kris, Me, Lorraine and Jane at the camera.

Anything that we do is meaningless unless we share it with someone. To have friends supporting each other is a great stress reliever. It is really great to have sweet and fun friends. God bless you guys and keep the faith intact!

A Talk At Daybreak

Good morning guys! Had a wonderful day! My day started at dawn when we had a good chat with a good friend of mine. It was crazy but very great talk.

We talked about a lot of things from our experiences yesterday to encounters with spiritual beings. I even taught her an action song. Yes! I taught her a dance and we danced. ^_^ We had a lot of fun.

It is really a great feeling to talk to someone special. Even if my eyes and my body was telling me to rest, just talking to her gave me energy which lasted for hours. Indeed when you love what you are doing, you will still continue to find ways to make it last and to make the best out of it.

Orlando Magic burned the Miami Heat

The big three of the Miami Heat was burned by the three-ball of the Orlando Magic. The Orlando Magic came back from a 24-point deficit in the third quarter with the help of their crazy shooting from outside the arc, 55.2% on 16-29.

Lebron James and Dwyane Wade dismantled the Magic in the first half with 47 points combined but could only muster 10 points after intermission.

And then Jason Richardson caught fire and was key to a 38-9 run that shifted the momentum back to the Magic and overcame the deficit. Richardson finished 9 of 14 from the field, including 6 of 8 on 3-pointers.

With the Heat down 99-96 with 8.0 seconds left, Chris Bosh had a chance to tie the game with a 3-pointer at the top of the key but missed. Mike Miller got the rebound and quickly kicked it out to an open Lebron James which missed the shot and Mike Bibby couldn't get the shot off in time.

The Miami Heat is now 14-16 against teams with a record of above 0.500 which signified that they are not yet one of the elite teams.

Basic How To's in Cooling your Personal Computer

It's already summer time here in the Philippines and believe me, when it's summer time here it means HOTA HOTA! The average room temperature here is about 30-35 degrees celsius (just an estimation! ^__^). But living in here is like hell. I am almost barenaked here just too cool myself off. And to top it off, the water pumps here are not working. That means no water. Damn!

For us bloggers, our PCs are our life. We can't afford to have our PCs broken. And one factor for a broken PC is overheating. Well we don't want that to happen, right? So hear are tips to cool our PCs.

#1 Keep your room and PC well-ventilated

A well-ventilated room will do the trick. Make sure that your room has a good ventilation system. Keep your fans on and pointing at your PCs. Open your windows, doors and other openings in your house to keep warm air out of your room. Keep the wirings inside your PC neat and organized so that air can circulate inside your PC and doesn't restrict airflow. And keep your casing properly closed.

#2 Don't overconserve your space

Don't keep other electronic hardwares close to your PC. Some people put their printers, scanners, monitors, PCs close to each other to conserve space. This may work on conserving your space but not on preventing overheating. Other electronic hardwares generate heat and keeping them close together make matters worse and may lead to all of them overheating. Always keep about 6-12 inches in between them. This will make their built-in ventilation system work better. Also keep 6-12 inches space between your PC and walls or wood. Also keep your PCs from direct sunlight.

#3 Maintenance

Keep your PC clean regularly. Keeping the outside of your PC clean is not enough. Make sure that all the ventilation intakes and exhausts are free from dust and other obstructions. Clean your PCs at least twice a year. Also keep your heat sinks and other cooling fans and paraphernalia clean and free from dust and lint. As a rule, use vacuum cleaners on the outside of your PCs and compressed air in the inside to avoid damage to PC parts. Cleaning the inside of your PC is very dangerous, so make sure you know what your doing before disconnecting and cleaning yur heat sinks. If you are not confident enough, call your technician for assistance.

Good day guys! Have you heard about this so called yoyo? Back then when I was a kid in my elementary years, I experienced playing stuffs like yu gi oh, crush gear and yoyo. I was so hooked up with these kind of stuff. I remembered skipping classes just to buy these toys, especially yoyos. What I remembered was that whenever I buy yoyos at the store, I can't find a quality yoyo that is cheap for a kid to buy. Good quality yoyos were always expensive.

I heard about this website Yo Yo Jam where they sell good quality yoyos for beginners like me. They also have yoyos for intermediate and even for pros. What shocked me was that this good quality yoyos are very cheap. I bought one, the Henrys Tiger snake. I tried it and it was so awesome.

Manyanita - A Great Way To Celebrate One's Day of Birth

Good day guys! How are you? Doing fine? How was your day? Mine was great. My friend just celebrated his 21st birthday and we surprised him with a 'manyanita'. We sang songs for him at daybreak and we had our honoring.

This is our culture in our community that we grew up. Every time one of our friends will celebrate their day of birth, we immediately plan to give her a 'manyanita' coupled with honoring.

Honoring is done to honor the celebrant and just to say praises to him on how he/she affected your life. We also put a twist by comparing the celebrant to anything: from toys, electronic gadgets to food, clothing, animals, etc. You will be surprised on how creative some could be and on how some are just playing with their answers.

We had a wonderful 'manyanita' plus honring. It was fun because we compared our friend to a Filipino dish. I compared him to a 'paklay' because once you get close to him, you will find out how spicy your life could get with him around.

Good day guys! Imagine yourself driving your car to work. You stop at a gasoline station and used a diesel fuel pump to refill your cars tank. As you drive to your work, you notice that you are not comfortable. There's something you can't distinguish that's bogging you. As you look around in order to find the problem, you discovered that your auto's air conditioning system stopped functioning. As you open the window, you realize that you are in a traffic jam hours from your work and home. And to top it all of, the time is 11 a.m. and is sizzling hot.

Good day guys! How was your day? I just finished eating with my family and it is so good to eat together with them, to chat about the things that concerns us all and about the things that happened to us this day. Youth Power - Being Champions of the Poor

Good morning guys! How was your sleep? Great? Well, I got my sleep but it was just for a short while but I am still lucky to have my sleep.

Anyways, we will be having our Youth Power Activity. What is Youth Power, you say? Youth Power is one of the twelve tracks that the CFC - Youth for Christ has released. It is a formation track intended for the members of the community to experience the joy of sharing your blessings through immersion activities and exercising one of the CFC-YFC's identities, being Champions of the Poor.

We will be having our Youth Power at the CFC Provincial Mission Center. Of course, the day will not start without having our opening worship. Afterwards, there will be a talk regarding being a champion of the poor. This part will be from 9:00am - 12:noon.

The second part would be the immersion proper. There are three venues for the immersion. These are the places:

Dangpanan Sa Kabataan - This is a juvenile delinquent camp intended for those young people who committed crimes but could not be put to jail because of their being at a minor age.
Bantay Bata - This is an institution which caters the needs of those children and young people which were abandoned, battered and abused by their parents or families.
Mc Auley Center for abused women and children - This is an institution where those abused, raped and molested women and children are given treatment of their trauma and support for their needs.

The immersion proper includes games, presentations, dances, etc. This will be a fun-filled part. This will be from 1pm - 3pm.

The last part of the activity is the processing and the conclusion. This includes sharing of experiences and learnings. Afterwards is the praisefest which will give us the opportunity to thank the Lord for the experience.

These kinds of activities are very inspiring and very fulfilling. Not because we get to meet new friends but because these activities give you hope for the future.

These activities show us that there is this part of our soul that longs for missionary work. And they also show us that everyone of us has his/her goodness instilled by our Almighty Father.

As I watched television, I stumbled on this local show about young fathers. Featuring fathers aged 14-17 years, mainly resulting from premarital sex. And then I ask myself, "What is my stand in premarital sex?" "If the situation presents itself, would I do it?" "Am I firm with my stand?"

There are things to be considered in premarital sex.

Is premarital sex Moral?

As a Christian, I would say it is not moral. God created sex to be enjoyed by two married couple. Premarital sex is termed fornication, sexual intercourse between people who are not married to each other, and it is stated in the bible that "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity…" Ephesians 5:3. Nowadays, premarital sex is common and a natural occurence among teenagers. But it doesn't mean that everyone will just set aside the right values because it is common, no! God promotes complete abstinence from premarital sex.

Is premarital sex safe physically and emotionally?

Protections such as condoms exists in the market today. It is said that it protects users from HIV. Yeah! It protects the user but it only reduces the rate of acquiring HIV by 85%. What about the other 15% of acquiring STDs. And it only protects us from HIV. What about the other STDs? This should be taken into consideration. And what about the emotional effect of premarital sex? What about embarassment, guilt, resentment and most of all lack of respect? And other parents may disown their children. Personally, I prefer my partner to be virgin, wouldn't you?

Sex is not recreation but re-creation!

Sex is intended for reproduction and not just for recreation or fun. Sex is pleasurable and God intended it to be. But it is for married couples to complete their unifaction. And sex is not just sex, butis the act of making love to your partner, LOVE. It is a sacred act only for those couples who are tied by the hands of God. It is intended for married couples to help prevent unwanted children and abortion. Imagine a world without premarital sex. A world without abortion and unwanted children. Isn't it a paradise.

Conclusion

Premarital sex cannot be avoided. But it doesn't mean we shouldn't prevent it. Prevention of premarital sex starts from home. It is important for the parents to educate their children regarding premarital sex and not keeping them at the dark. It is also important to involve them in other activities away from premarital sex. And it is important to ask God for guidance and protection. Don't worry, if you have committed premarital sex, it doesn't mean you will not be forgiven by God. The Key To A Beautiful And Sparkling Smile!

Good day guys! My weekend was a blast. There was this pop dance competition that I joined in during a talent night. After the event, there were a bunch of pictures taken. I could not help but join in the fun.

Looking at the pictures I can’t help but think about how important picture-perfect smiles are. There are many factors that contribute to a picture perfect image: the clothes you wear, your hairdo, your skin, and the expression around your eyes. But the most important thing that any happy picture must not lack is that sparkling smile. And not just in cameras, but also in videos. I realized that when I watched the video of our dance. We had to keep on smiling at the crowd because the song we were dancing with is a happy song. It would be great if you’re always confident whenever you face the camera or the video camera. And a perfect smile through a perfect set of teeth is the key to that.

I realized how thankful I should be that I still have my complete set of teeth. My parents never failed to remind us to take good care of our teeth since we were young. But I also realize that it probably wouldn’t hurt if I take extra effort in taking care of them. It would be pretty neat if I can upgrade to an oral b electric toothbrush and try out some teeth whitening products. There are also these various dental products that I’m hankering to try. With these, my smile will not only be perfect, it’ll also stand out and I’ll be more than prepared for that next camera shot.

Real-Life RX-78-2 Gundam

Good day guys! As a kid I used to watch anime, a lot of anime! I remember watching Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragon Ball Z, Akazukin Cha Cha, Gundam Wars, Card Captor Sakura, B't X, and many more. And I was a solid fan of Mobile Suits in Gundam. I like their design and their capabilities to fight.

As I was blog hopping, I found a post of a good blogger friend of mine, RIP666, that captured my attention. The post title is Life size Gundam Looms in Odaiba. It captured my attention, first of all because I am a fan of Gundam and, second of all, it is life size. It was made with a scale of 1:1 and is 18 meters (approx. 60 feet) tall. It was the infamous RX-78-2 Gundam. Every 30 minutes, an animation will happen where the light of this statue will turn on and fumes or mist comes out of its chest vents, shoulders and legs and its head will turn right-left-up while music is played to set the mood.

I was always dreaming of seeing a real-life Gundam. Seeing this Gundam would be one of my goals. In the near future, I know that robots like Gundam will exist. Well, robots exist now, but they are way to weak compared to Gundams but still a great achievement for man.

Good day guys! How many of you guys like eating meat? Pork? Beef? I personally like eating pork that's primarily because pork is more affordable than beef. But if I can buy anything without worrying about costs and stuffs, I would stuff myself with beef.

They say that eating beef, like prime beef, filet mignon steaks and gourmet steaks, is not good because of the fats that they contain. It is true that beef contains fats that may cause heart problems, but aside from these disadvantages, there are also benefits from eating beef.

One of these benefits is Vitamin B12. It is obtained from animal sources and abundant in beef. Vitamin B12 is very important for having a healthy nervous system. But having too much of beef can affect your health. Actually, having too much of everything is not good. That is why, for a person to have a healthy body, one should have a balanced diet.

Good day guys! How is your day? Mine was a so, so day but still a blessed day. I got to chat with my friends about anything. My happiness is really not that deep. In contrast, I am just happy to be with happy and smiling friends.

Happy as we are, we know that there are still things, thoughts and feelings bugging us. Are you honestly sure that you have no problems? We all do, right?! Right!

But what is really great is to have friends who are not just there to be in our happy times, but to be able to comfort you and to listen to your rant and just give simple pieces of advices. It is really nice to talk to someone whenever things are about to burst and you can't handle things on your own. To have friends who are willing to spare time to listen to whatever nonsense that spits from your mouth.

I just talked to a very special friend of mine about things that is bothering me lately regarding my life and what road to take. Before the talk, my mind is so preoccupied by so many things that I just can't seem to figure out how to organize things. Sometimes, talking to someone, for me, somehow organizes my thoughts.

Puppies - Got To Own One!

Good day guys! It's been days since my last post and I kinda missed blogging. Well, maybe that shows that I have the blogger sickness defined as "an illness which is caused or resulted from the obsessiveness of a certain person to write a blog everyday. Symptoms are itching of fingers due to lack of blogging time. No solution or medication discovered yet." If you ask where did I get this definition...Well, never mind asking! hehehe...

Do you have pets at home? Well, mine are cats. Technically, they are not really our pets since we did not raise them but you can call them our pets because they live at our house. But if you let me choose a kind of pet, that would be a dog. I would choose a dog over others for many reasons. Let me enumerate:

Loyalty

I like dogs because as you can observe, compared to other pets, dogs are very loyal to their owners. They can be used to guard your house from intruders and thieves. Dogs can also save you from a life and death situation. Who would forget lassie?!

They are Cuddly

Dogs, especially the furry ones, are very cute and very cuddly. I like to cuddle them and make them my personal pillow. Hehehe...Seriously, if ever I own one, I would make sure that the dog is clean so that I can cuddle, hug and use it as my pillow.

Security

The best pet to be used as a security would be a dog. They are very territorial and if ever they sense danger lurking, they will bark and bark and will serve as an alarm unlike cats.

Well, I really like to own a dog. But dogs are not allowed in our household because my mother has a trauma regarding dogs. She was bitten 3 times already. She has a bad history regarding dogs. Well, I can't argue with her! hehe...But when I will have my own family, I will definitely own 2-3 dogs.

I found this site regarding dogs. They have many breeds of dogs including a cavoodle for sale, a cross breed of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Miniature Poodle. Getting My Stamina Back!

God day guys! Before my sister went back to Manila to continue her masters, we had a badminton game with my brothers and with her. I was so excited to play because I haven't been exercising for about almost 3 months except for a few basketball games.

The day came and we were all ready to go and we found out that the national transportation group had a strike and that there was no transportation until about 3 pm that day. But it didn't affect our will to play badminton and decided to walk the distance since it was not that far away. I haven't brought my Running Shoes but still it was not necessary for Running, since we can just walk or jog the distance. Others say that if you are planning to follow some kinda Sports Nutrition, you may need to use Pedometers to monitor your heart rate. We arrived at the gym and played our hearts out and after about two games I had my stamina drained and rested.

I then realized how short my stamina was compared to about 2 years ago when I was actively doing my regular exercises. My stamina was not that short and in fact I could play about 5 straight games in basketball and won't feel tired. Now I think about it, I should get back on working my stamina for these kind of situations. Going to a local gym is one of my goals this year, trying out exercise machines like an elliptical fitness cross trainer to help me get my stamina back. You too should not just sit around. Let's get to work and get back our stamina.

No Sleep!

Good day guys! I haven't slept. I've been awake for almost 24 hours now and it could be the case as this day could turn out very busy.

I can't sleep now and will be drinking coffee to keep me awake as I attend mass at about 1 hour from now. I need to be awake to listen to what message God will be letting me hear.

We will also be having our Christian Life Program for the YFC-SFC Crossover. It would be about 45 minutes away from our place and would take up about 2-3 hours.

In the afternoon, we will also be having our Chapter Assembly at our place for the YFCs to mingle and to learn something from God. This will be at 2:00 in the afternoon and would take up about 2-3 hours depending how early the people will come.

So basically, I won't be having a good rest. Maybe little naps will do to keep me going. I really can't blame anyone or anything except for my being insomniac. I tried everything to sleep like reading a book, listening to music, drinking a warm glass of milk but none of these deemed effective.

Oh well, I can handle this today but I really need to get back on my sleeping time to get my health back.

Being Insomniac is Always A Bad Thing!

Good day guys! How is your day?! Mine is well. Actually, it is 4:27 a.m. in our place and I am still awake. I am a self-proclaimed insomniac.

I got this sickness from working home-based on an irregular time. My schedule on my ex-employer was from 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. and that usually extends to about 8:00 a.m. So you can imagine why I have this sickness. LOL!

Being insomniac is in no way a good thing. I repeat "NOT A GOOD THING!" It poses a lot of problems whether health-wise, relationship-wise, etc.

Nothing can beat a good night sleep and waking up in the morning, greeting the day with a big and beautiful smile and with arms wide open! I long for that because I usually wake up at around lunch-time.

Anyways, I really need to get this insomniac thing off my life and fix my natural body clock.

Good day guys! Another day for me! Yesterday was a very inspiring day for me! Although I was thinking all day about things to do in my life, I got inspiration from a very inspiring being, that is God!

We had our weekly Wednesday worship! It was great having to speak to God and listening to Him and just telling Him everything that your heart is burdened with. And I know that He is always listening and doing His plans for me. That's why I don't worry that much.

Having problems and you got no one to talk to about these things? I suggest you close your eyes, hold your hands together, tell God everything, ask for His glory to show into your life and have faith in Him. Only He can offer you a perfect solution to your problems. And after praying and telling Him what your problems are, listen. We need to listen to hear His message.

Letting Go and Letting God!

Good day guys! How is your day? My day is just fine. Tiring but fine. It is my ate Micah's birthday today. She is now 25 years old and going stronger and stronger literally. I remember when she ran from her room to the living room and I stopped her. She dragged me about 3 meters. It was then that I realized that we have grown so much. And it made me realize that we are children no more.

I am 23 years old now and would be 24 next year (duh?! lol)! It got me a little scared that 5 years from now, it is my ideal age to marry and to raise a family. That in such a short time, I need to get my act together and to plan for my future.

Now that being rich is out of my priority, I just want to have a stable job suitable enough to support a family. If God allows me to get rich, then thank You! But, for now, it is really none of my concerns.

I also want to serve God everyday of my life. And to share that unending love from Him to everyone around me. I originally thought of being a full time missionary, to fulfill this dream to go on missions. To go to places where God is in need.

But as the days go by, and learning many things about Him, I also realized that it is all about calling. It is really all about Him calling you to be one. If He has plans for You to follow that road, then everything will be in place and nothing can ever stop you from doing what He calls you to do.

I also learned that being a missionary is not about forcing yourself to be one. Sometimes we are too selfish and we are too caught up in the moment that we tend to forget to listen to Him. We tend to manipulate things to go according to plan. That may be a good thing but mind you it would not be Him working but you. And that is not a good thing!

And also I learned to let go and let God! Just do the best I can at what God has anointed me to do! Everything in my life is according to His plans! My family, my friends, my work, my ministry, everyone and everything around me is God's gift to me and should be taken care of with the best that I can.

To do the best we can do with our life and by putting God in the center of everything that we do, that is the best testimony one can share to others. It is not about me anymore, it is all about Him now!

I offer my life to You now and use me according to Your will! Let Your will be done!

Learning the Purpose

Good day guys! Being alive is a great feeling. Especially if you got to do the things you love and also learn more things and expand your knowledge base. Learn to play piano, to speak more in front of people, to communicate your thoughts well, etc.

Life gives us a wonderful opportunity to do these things. There are so many things to do. But what is the real essence of life? Are these the things that would make us happy? Money? Large House? Cars? Gadgets? They indeed make you happy. After you get those? Are we contented yet? Are we still lacking something deep inside that we can't seem to satisfy with these material things?

Brothers and sisters, what we really need in our lives are not these material possessions but are those unexplainable joys we get when we help others; help them get by their problems, helping them learn new things, helping them to enjoy life, sharing to them how great life can be.

This is called serving God through our fellow brothers and sisters. Let us not forget that our true purpose in life is to praise and glorify the Lord by living our lives in the fullness of Him. Following His examples and living the life that He want us to live praising and glorifying Him in all the things that we do.

Facial Care

Good day guys! How is your day? Mine was tiring but still fun. I had lots of walking to do, I had to go to the city twice, go to my friend's house to practice with the band for our camp, had 2 basketball games with my neighbors. But all was worth it because I was able to hang out with friends.

Anyways, with all the things that's happening to us in a day, it is not surprising to develop unwanted marks on our faces. Age spots, pimples, acne, even wrinkles, are one of the many that would show up to stressed people's faces. With all the oil and dirt that our face can get through the day, it is easy to get these.

That is why it is important to clean our faces at the end of each day to get that dirt away and allow our face to regenerate its lost beauty and health. We can use Skin Care Products, such as Acne Products and the likes to get that healthy glow back to our faces and remove those annoying marks. Or we can choose a more natural method.

Whatever way we choose to clean our face, what is important is that we are taking care of our facial health because the face is the first thing that people would see. We don't want to be known as a very stressed person, do we?

Good day guys! I would just like to thank my classmates, Nicole, Bencel and Rachel for the wonderful time spent. You guys gave me one heck of an evening.

We were just at a local coffee shop drinking coffee but it seems that a cup of coffee is enough to remember the old days and to activate our brains and have a wonderful evening talking about anything, from weird things ti serious things, and laughing hard together.

So how is your day guys?! Having quite a day? Me? I am celebrating the Holy Friday, which is a way to remember the greatest gift God has given to us. God died on the cross to cleanse us from all our sins and to grant us access to His Kingdom.

The holy week is not about not eating meat, not having fun, avoiding accidents (because they say that a wound gotten during Holy Friday would heal slower and would take a year to completely heal, which is of course an old saying), and staying inside the house. But it is all about remembering God's death which is the way to redeem us of our sins.

Graduation Day

And the best reason to celebrate is the fact that I will graduate this coming April 8, 2010. For almost 6 years of success, failure, defeat, cutting classes, cheating, lies, escapades and both happy and sad memories, I will graduate.

All those years of frustration will finally bear me a good fruit. I am very happy indeed. Who wouldn't be?! Even if I don't have any awards and stuff (Actually, it is none of my concern in the first place) I can really say that this is the most amazing gift that God has given me so far.

Comment: Claymore is a brutal manga where you see limbs being cut-off, heads flying everywhere since it involves monsters and claymore carrying female warriors. I like the fact that it is brutal. But one negative thing about this manga is that it is updated very slowly, monthly and sometimes took 2-3 months. But anways, a good manga for those who like brutality.

Workout Excitement!

Good day guys! Since the new year's celebration, I am on an eating tear. I just can't stop eating that I have gained considerable weight now, 75kg. That is, I think, overweight for my age, 22, and height, 5'6". That's why I a thinking of doing some workout to burn the excess fat and have a healthy living. Me and my friends enrolled at some local gym at a mere price of P 850.00; P 300.00 for the membership, P 350.00 monthly and P 200.00 for the instructor. We will start tomorrow. I am very excited to start this new program for me and I hope that with this, I can get back to my healthy body.

An Upgrade for our beloved City!

Good day guys! For those who didn't know, our city just recently witnessed the opening of our first Mall here in our place, Gaisano Mall. Before the mall, we just had bars and restros all around town to fulfill the peoples need. We had minimarts and shopping centers scattered around the city but having this mall gave out town plus points in the commercial side.

Maybe the next step is to have our very own arena to hold both small and large events like basketball games and concerts, even theatrical plays. Just like in Philadelphia where they can buy Wachovia Center Tickets, Jeff Dunham Tickets and Jersey Boys Tickets. We can then attract local and national artists to schedule a live performance for the people to watch. It would be great!

But for a city of this size, we still need a lot of years to accomplish this feat. What is important is to continue to support the city's events and projects so that we will have a prosperous city.

Direct TV for a high fever!

Hello guys! I'm so busy during my Christmas vacation and this is the first day that I visited my blog again. Last saturday I was a bum. I have this high fever that reached 39 degrees Celsius which made me stay home and rest. Thank God I have Direct TV.

I've beeen subscribing Direct Tv in New York for a while as I watched all my favorate channels, movies and cartoons. I poped some corn, got some chips and dips and drowned myself in cola and "poof", the fever is no more! LOL! Now I can just feel my head aching, my fever is gone and tommorow's my first day of school. I wish I would be sick again so that I could watch my favorite channels again thanks to Directv, heheh.

Melason - Melissa and Jason Loveteam!

Good day guys! Lately, I haven't watched the television shows because I was so busy and hooked up on the things in the Internet. I was having so much fun surfing the net and getting the things needed-to-be-done done that I forgot that there are so many funny things, or rather interesting things, happening or showing on the television.

I used to watch PBB, Pinoy Big Brother, mainly because of beautiful women and how they act and interact with other women and men. I think my intention/reason applies for most of the men out there who have their eyes full with sexy and beautiful women having their time inside the Big Brother House.

But lately, watching Big Brother makes me happy not just because of the beautiful women in there but because of this uncommon love team that I think swept the whole nation to its feet. This sweet, funny and interesting love team makes the audience not just here in our country but also the audience from around the world cry their hearts out in pure laughter and "kilig."

The loveteam Melason, from the names Melissa and Jason, were undeniably the greatest thing that has happened inside Big Brother house, greater than the Big Brother swap. The first time I heard of the word Melason made me laugh because it sounds like "May Lason" which in Tagalog means "There is poison." They were just having fun with each other until they developed these feelings for each other. They even have a baby name "Dengue" which also made me laugh.

But I think what made them popular was the fact that they are not faking their attitudes inside the house. I think that is the main reason why the audience love them and the fact that the two of them compliment each other made matters better for them. Even my older sister, who was not know to watch Big Brother, have been watching video updates posted on youtube and other video streaming sites for Melason moments and get really, really excited that she would scream in "kilig."

Good day guys! It's nearing december.

It's time to sing Christmas songs again.

I'd like to begin with "All I want for Christmas is.." But instead of "two front teeth", what I want is a great grandfather clock in our living room, the one that gives of a loud grand sound. And I want it to function like an alarm clock. This is mainly because what I'll be having for a new year's resolution is to be mindful about my time and to exercise proper time management. I've realized that I'm an adult now and I'm required to do greater tasks. I have greater responsibilities now and yet I still have the same 24 hours that I have to spend every day. Same amount of time, more tasks. For this kind of goal, a normal alarm clock would not suffice.

There's something about grandfather clocks. They seem to demand respect, respect for time. With a grandfather clock looming before me every time I enter our living room, I wouldn't be able to help but feel ashamed with an extra hour that I spend on a computer game, or a few minutes musing over breakfast before I go to school. Its authoritative boom will surely wake me up even on rainy mornings.

Rumpelstiltskin - A Scary Fairy Tale Story

Today I was able to summon the courage to read one of the fairy tales that used to frighten me big time when I was a kid: Rumpelstiltskin.

In case you don’t know the story, it goes like this. There was a miller who lied to the King that his daughter can spin straw into gold. Curious, the king took the girl and locked her up in a tower filled with straw. She must be able to spin all the straw into gold in three days or else she’ll be executed. Just when she’d given up everything, a dwarfish man appeared and agreed to spin the straw into gold for her in exchange for her necklace, and then for her ring. When she had nothing to give, he made her promise to give him her first born. Finally all the straw was spun into gold and the King, impressed decided to marry the girl. After their first child was born, the dwarfish man appeared and demanded that the queen pay her debt. Eventually, the queen was able to persuade him to let her keep the child if she is able to guess her name in three days. Unfortunately for the dwarfish man, a servant of the queen heard him chant in the middle of the night, in the middle of the forest, his name: Rumpelstiltskin! When he went to claim the child again, the queen was able to answer his question and Rumpelstiltskin, because of his anger, stomped his right foot on the ground, where it got caught. Then he tried to yank off with both his hand the same foot and accidentally tore himself into two. So he died and all the straw that Rumpelstiltskin spun into gold in the past went back into being straw.

Until now I still wonder how in the world did this became a children’s story. Rumpelstiltskin’s chant was eerie enough. It made mention of a lot of gruesome stuff like baking the child and eventually brewing it. There is no cute character in it too. When I was younger, I had nightmares after I read this story. Though the story is a “they lived happily ever after” type it still leaves certain paranoia on its readers afterwards. In the same way that the movie “Sixth Sense” left its viewers wondering whether the paranormal do exist, Rumpelstiltskin tend to keep kids wondering about a little dwarfish man who might probably be hiding under their beds, ready to kidnap them if their mom failed to guess its name right.

Reflection on 1Peter 1:1-7

“These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” 1 Peter 1:7 (NIV)

Gold has been highly esteemed during the old testament. It has been a symbol of wealth and is often used as offering. (Numbers 31:50). Abraham, still called Abram that time, was considered wealthy in “livestock and in silver and gold”(Genesis 13:2). The Israelites brought gold with them when they went out of Egypt (Exodus 12:35)? It was mentioned 491 times in the old testament alone. It is a sign of wealth, prosperity, and favor from God, as gold was abundant in the time in Israel during the time of King Solomon.

Yet this passage in 1st Peter encourages us that our faith is of much greater value than that of gold. 1st Peter was written by St. Peter to Christians who are undergoing persecution that time. He persuades them that their suffering is only for the meantime while what they have their hope on is something timeless. Gold is often a symbol of timelessness. But 1 Peter states that although it takes long for gold to corrode, it is still bound to perish one way or another. It is not so with faith in Jesus. The present suffering is just a refinement. The same way that fire refines gold. But since our faith is of much greater worth than gold, it is bound to come out more precious.

Outdoor Furniture!

Good day guys! As I took a rest at our humble abode, I noticed many things that only a person with no worries will notice. At first, it was not that clear to me. Maybe because of the fact that I was used to seeing it everyday. Or maybe I was too busy on other things that I failed to notice it until now.

I noticed that we only have an old plastic table with some plastic chairs. The design is not that elegant and entertaining. Maybe I should think of a way to solve this minor problem. I think I need my big sister to help me on this ordeal because I am not that good at decorating. I hope she would be home before the Christmas season.

Good day guys! When I finished my dinner, I got this heavy feeling at the back of my head. It's like my heads aching and ready to burst! Well, it's not unusual for me but at this time, I got really concerned. As soon as I got home, I relaxed a bit and got to my weighing scale to see how heavy I got. And as I predicted, my weight is 72 kg which is 5 more than my weight about a month ago and is close to becoming obese. That goes to show that this month was not healthy for me because I was not that conscious about my health because of the many requirements that linger in my mind.

What I needed was to loss weight using those weight loss shakes or by just being health conscious. Sometimes, being health conscious is a good thing because what we need to achieve our goals in life is a healthy and active body! And also we really need to take care of our body because we just borrowed it from our God and we need to return it as healthy as possible.

Good day guys! How is your day? Mine is fine although my head is aching right now. Anyways, the semester is almost over and me and my friends are planning to have our vacation this semester break. I really need to relax my mind and body from all the studying and coding we did during the semester and also to prepare myself for next semester. We are planning to have it at Samal but it really depends on our budget. If our budget allows us, we can go for one of the Vermont Hotels. It would be very exciting and thrilling to go there. Personally, I would like to try skiing there. It would be my first time if that happens. I heard that it would be a great place for some romantic getaways with your loved ones and also for a great Family Vacation.

But since we don't have that much money, we could go to Davao or maybe to Baguio! Yes! Baguio would be great because I want to try their cold environment! It would be a great change of climate. I also want to look at it's beautiful scenery. It would be a great vacation if we could go there.

Being Healthy!

Our teacher just announced this afternoon that the supposed to be one-week extension of classes this semester has been canceled. Apparently the administration changed their minds. Our teacher pointed out in an ironic tone that this is due to the fact that our school is the center of excellence, to which we all half-heartedly laughed.

So that means we barely have two weeks left to accomplish everything that needs to be accomplished for this semester. The whole lot includes projects, home works, our thesis, and final exams. Should we aspire to actually finish everything means playing a trick on the traditional way we do time management. I did a quick math on how much time we should invest on our student life for the next two weeks and apparently, there’s -30 hours left for sleep. Yep. You read that right. Its negative 30 hours left for sleep. That is very unfortunate considering the fact that the first practical step to take in order to complete every single task is to keep myself healthy. It would be very disastrous if I suddenly catch a cold or something within the next two weeks. It’s a good thing though that there are other means of staying fit despite the lack of sleep. This includes drinking enough fluid, eating the right food, and maintaining proper hygiene. However, the most helpful step I think is taking food supplements. Beta Glucan would be a good choice. Good day guys! The semester is finally over and I’m really looking forward to the semester break. After everything I went through this semester, I can really attest that I need a pause from the usual hurly burly of college life. I consider the semester break as my reward. Good day guys! The fiesta had just come to an end and classes resumed today. There were all sorts of happenings: street dances, the “mugna”, and parties, all in celebration in commemoration of Senior San Miguel. People consumed tons of food and tons of alcoholic drinks too. In fact the city devoured a little too much of both. The food is no problem but the latter is another story. One time I took a jeepney ride from my boarding house to the “mugna” and on the way, I witnessed four street fights with one thing in common: the people involved are drunk. Consuming alcohol is not really all bad. A shot here and there won’t hurt. But at times too much of it clouds the mind and causes people to do stupid things. And worse, the casual consumption of alcohol will lead to a permanent alcoholism.

Alcoholism can be a major addiction. It can be life ruining for youths whose lives had hardly begun. It ruins their studies, social lives, relationship with parents and keeps them from learning sober living, which is very important in growing up. Alcoholism, along with prescription drug addiction are one of the most common problems among the young people today. Involvement in these may be solved through alcohol rehab but as the old cliché goes “prevention is better than cure”. The fiesta would have been more fun too if people wouldn’t aim at getting all wasted and were in there proper minds all the while.

Good day guys! As this semester comes to an end, we are beginning to plan and implement our plans for our company, Infotechnix. I have failed to mention here that we suspended the start of our operations since most of our colleagues are still having problems on their thesis. Our planned formal start would be next year and we are all excited to make our plans happen.

As of the moment, we are all busy getting our school stuff done so that by next year, we can fully focus on our goals and on making Infotechnix a Lead Generation Company of web designs and development. Good day guys! As everyone know, the Philippines is experiencing a big problem because of a typhoon that hits in our place. Fortunately, my home city is not included but at our capital, in Metro Manila, the typhoon is causing floods which already killed hundreds of citizens including soldiers and volunteers who risked their lives to save many people from dying. Amidst these crisis, I am thankful to see many Filipinos trying their very best to help each other by donating foods and goods to those who are affected by the typhoon. It is touching to watch and learn that all the Filipinos are united.

As I open and checked my facebook account, my friend tagged me to this very disturbing and disappointing photo. I was so angry and at the same time felt very sad to see this photo of a Korean twitter, I think. By the way here is the photo which I think I need to show.

Good day guys! Have you experienced pressure? Pressure that consume you from the inside and out? Not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally? Have you experienced wanting to explode and give up but yet you continue to do it because either you have no choice or you feel that you can do it? And then, at long last, the pressure and pain that enveloped you is quickly replaced by enjoyment and happiness? Well, that is what I am feeling right now! Whew!

Just recently, our instructor gave us a laboratory exercise in which we are asked to construct and implement a Binary Search Tree and an AVL Tree. Actually, the algorithm is not that hard to understand so I just took my time in coding the program. All went according to plan until I encountered an unexpected error, java.lang.NullPointerException. At first, I was thinking that it's just a minor problem. So I went on debugging and putting some conditions to satisfy and prevent the exception. My line count doubled as time passes by and by the end of the day the code was like messed up. Thinking that I can do it without any help, I continued coding the day after. The same error keeps showing up! I was in panic mode because the deadline was fast approaching. It took me almost 3 days to call it quits and ask help from my classmates. One of my classmates helped me and after about 5 hours of debugging with her, we realized that the constructors were poorly constructed and we had to revise the constructor and recode the whole program. And now, thanks to my classmate, I finally finished the codes but is 2 days behind schedule. This piece of code is the reason for everything. LOL!

Hannah Montana Mistakes!

Good day guys! This day has been pretty much consumed by school work which included heavy programming as I tried to meet a deadline in our Data Structures. I think I’ve encountered more syntax this day than actual human words. So I figured that there’s nothing like watching a good comedy show to loosen up my over-stressed brain cells. A friend of mine suggested to me that I should watch Disney’s Hannah Montana, which is all clean innocence and humor. For those who aren’t familiar with the show, it’s about a typical girl named Miley Stewart who has the best of both worlds as she lives a double life as a famous pop star. She just puts on a blonde wig, plus the makeup and the get up and she’s Hannah Montana, the teen pop sensation.

No offense to the creators of the show but I really wondered if they have ever heard of a Phone Number Lookup. It’s obvious that Miley is using only one cellular phone number. In episode one of season one, Miley’s best friend Lily, a big Hannah fan, figured out her secret as she breaks in Hannah’s dressing room after a concert and gave a call to Miley(supposedly to tell her best friend that she’s finally broken in their idol’s dressing room), which as she did so, Hannah’s phone rang. In episode 23 of season 3, a radio program called to interview Hannah Montana, a call which took place through Miley’s phone. Ok so probably the show is made for kids and details aren’t that important, since it’s all for laugh’s sake. I just thought that kids nowadays are smarter than they used to be and might figure out how the Hannah story can sometimes be too unrealistic.

Fantasy - Having It the G.I. Joe Way!

Good day guys! In my previous post, I’ve talked about my dream house and how I like musing about how my future would be. Aside from owning the fastest car in the neighborhood, another fantasy of mine is getting a snowmobile. I’m thinking that if I probably have a job right now, this’ll be the perfect season to save up for one since there are still a few months before winter.

I got the idea after watching G.I. Joe the movie. Yes, I’ve drooled over the faster-than-the-speed-of-sound jet planes and the mobile suits. The one scene that got stuck into my mind though is the one where Scarlet, Snake Eyes, and duke’s best friend Ripcord came crashing into the enemy base with state of the art snowmobiles, which they later used to launch some of the nanotechnology-based weapon in the air, where they can do no harm. It was hardly realistic. But the scene was great and ultimately cool.

Good day guys! I can’t believe how the crime rate has shot up recently. Last night’s news featured all sorts of crime: from a foolish case of a guy running away with his lover’s money to a more gruesome murder incident. I can’t help but ponder too about my own safety and security. I have classes until 7:30 and normally, I’d have to go home after sundown. And criminals are like vampires. They thrive in the night.

Obviously, there is a need to take extra precautions these days. Sometimes it’s not just a matter of being the wrong person in the wrong place, at the wrong time for misfortune to find you. That’s why you have to be aggressively avoiding danger. However, fear does tend to over-rate things. Eventually too much precaution becomes unnecessary paranoia, which is often quite damaging to one’s social life. You’d stop going to parties because all your friends tend to party at night. And if you do go to one, you’d start fearing meeting new people, thinking that everyone can be a possible villain. The used-to-be friendly conversation in the bus on the way home becomes unthinkable. Every stranger becomes a suspect. You’re safe alright. But you’re also committing social suicide, which is a foolish thing to do. Now there’s a wiser way of securing your safety. One is making use of the internet. There’s this site that lets you Track Sex Offenders. That way, you know who to avoid and gives you an idea which person to befriend. Another is having the police station number at your speed dial. Carrying an umbrella is also a practical move. Entrance to My Very Own Bat Cave!

Good day guys! How are you guys? Do you know what grandfather clocks look like? Have you ever watch some horror films where in midnight some big old clock gives off a loud sound. Well, those big old clocks, my friends, are what we call grandfather clocks. I remember when I was a child at my grandparents' house at Bohol, they had this very antique furniture and stuff that their house almost look like haunted ones. Whenever I look at the furniture, it gave me goosebumps especially their grandfather clock.

But now as I am a bit older, I see grandfather clocks as unique and elegant-looking clocks. They are big, most of the time wooden, and they have this big pendulums which I really like very much. Maybe I will get one for my future house and put it in the living room. Maybe I'll use it as an entrance to my Bat Cave just like Batman. Maybe grandfather clocks are a very great and important invention.

Dream House!

Good day guys! Today is a Sunday and one thing that I really like doing on Sundays is musing about my dream house. As a graduating student, I got into the habit of wondering about how my future will be. Often I think about my future career, where I will possibly work and the probable nature of my future job, which often leads me to think about my possible salary range someday. Eventually, my train of thought goes to what kind of lifestyle I’ll be living someday. This kind of thinking would usually comprise of my dream house, my dream car, my dream pets, etc. But mostly I would linger on how my dream house will be.

It’s just that it requires so much detail. And I pretty much believe that the kind of home I’ll be having someday will pretty much define the quality of life that I will be living. So I imagined my dream house to be somewhere near the sea because I want a fabulous view of the ocean. There were some Driveway Gates San Diego that I saw on the internet and I imagined that it would be cool to have those for my house someday. I’ll probably need some of those Chain Link Fencing In San Diego for my backyard. I’d like to think that I’ll be having a bigger backyard in the future, with not so high walls, which can be bothersome if I want my house to be somewhere near a canopy of trees. My house will be a mixture of a classic Victorian design, with a modern touch. There has to be a library, and a sound proof music room. It will also house a lot of gadgets. In fact, I’d want my kitchen to be fully computerized. I think I’d want my bedroom and my living room to be the same way too. I’m not much of an architect and I can’t really put all of these things together in my head but one thing’s for sure, It’s going to be an expensive house with lots of expensive stuff in it. That’s why I badly need a stable and at the same time, fashionable gate for it. Maybe I can get one at San Diego Fence Company.

Good day guys! I commend my cell phone for waking me up this morning. Other than serving as my alarm clock nowadays, it also made me feel like my morning was crowded with people. I got 15 new messages in my inbox, all of which I had to respond to. Recently I had been the contact person of many events. And messages just keep on flooding my phone. It was bad enough that I had to reply to a bunch of people as soon as possible (believe me, it’s like having multiple conversations simultaneously). I had this number for like two (2) years already. I decided to keep this so that it would be always easy for my friends and acquaintances to reach me. Also, I won’t have to introduce myself over and over again to my contacts. Often times though I wish everyone else had the same principle as mine. That way, whenever somebody anonymous texts or calls me, I won’t have to always keep on asking who they are, and coming up with a excuses just so I’d avoid offending them if just in case, I did delete their number accidentally.

As I finally settled for my breakfast, which had gone cold because of the long wait. I had a deep thought: what I really needed is a Phone Number Lookup. And viola! Nursing Students - Being A Good One!

“So let me get this straight, you can’t make it at tomorrow’s practice? And there’s a probability that you won’t be there during next Sunday’s show?”

“I’m sorry but I’m scheduled for duty and there’s nothing I can do about that.”

At that point I just rolled my eyes and walked away, while trying to convince myself with all the logical explanation there is in the world so I can overcome the annoyance that was threatening to control me. Fine! I can’t blame him. He’s a student nurse.

I can’t help but be amused by the way the student nurses are in schools these days. They are no longer just identified as the ones wearing the all-white uniform. They’re also the ones with the thickest pile of books and heaviest eye bags, which they get from meager hours of sleep as they balance their exams and hospital duties. They are the ones that are usually school-worn and often experiencing hypochondriac symptoms because of their many school works. In the University that I go to, Bachelor of Science in Nursing has the highest cut off score in the entrance exam so it follows that most of the top students would enroll at that particular course. They also dominate the top of the Dean’s list.

This is typical from a country that’s trying its best to produce the best nurses. Schools and universities had done their best to refine their programs in order to produce the best products because let’s face it, there is this steady overwhelming stream of B.S. Nursing graduates and competition is high. However, being successful in the Nursing Career is hardly based on what school you went to or how high your board exam grade is. Sure they count somehow, but they aren’t really the factor that will keep you going in the long run. What really count is 1) hard work and dedication to the field and 2) making wise decisions. Part of making wise decisions is knowing the best places to be a nurse. You have to know where to build your career. Also, keeping track of the latest trends in a nursing community would surely keep you up to date. Up-to-date information is always helpful. This way, all you’re hard work, will be worth it.

Good day guys! It is morning here in our place and I am really sleepy. I am thinking about my bed right now and how it is so tempting to lie there and just sleep my day away. I can't imagine my day without my bed.

Good day guys! How is your day? Mine is just fine. A very relaxing day because ours school is celebrating it's foundation day and we students are holding our festivities this year.

AJAX - An Achievement For Our Thesis!

Good day guys! After weeks of tedious work, I have finally ajaxified our thesis. I know it is not that "cool" but for me it is a great achievement because I learned how AJAX works and believe me, if you know javascript, you only need to do about 5 steps more to master AJAX. AJAX is short for Asynchronous Javascript and XML, where XML just consists of about 10% of AJAX and the rest is Javascript. Maybe an exaggeration but it is quite true for me. Well, I need to sleep! I still have a report later.

Good day guys! How is your day? I am fine! We just had our laboratory exercise on our CSC100 class. The teacher gave us a simple problem involving javascript and html.
