Grandfather Clock for Christmas

Good day guys! It's nearing december.

It's time to sing Christmas songs again.

I'd like to begin with "All I want for Christmas is.." But instead of "two front teeth", what I want is a great grandfather clock in our living room, the one that gives of a loud grand sound. And I want it to function like an alarm clock. This is mainly because what I'll be having for a new year's resolution is to be mindful about my time and to exercise proper time management. I've realized that I'm an adult now and I'm required to do greater tasks. I have greater responsibilities now and yet I still have the same 24 hours that I have to spend every day. Same amount of time, more tasks. For this kind of goal, a normal alarm clock would not suffice.

There's something about grandfather clocks. They seem to demand respect, respect for time. With a grandfather clock looming before me every time I enter our living room, I wouldn't be able to help but feel ashamed with an extra hour that I spend on a computer game, or a few minutes musing over breakfast before I go to school. Its authoritative boom will surely wake me up even on rainy mornings.

God bless and keep the faith intact!

Math Tutoring for Successful Academics

Good day guys! What is your favorite subject? What is your least liked subjects? For both questions, the answer may be the same thing: math! At times math is much loved; at times it’s much hated. The more common scenario though is the latter. I remember my math17, Algebra and Trigonometry, days. There were definitely more people who flunked it than those who got a high grade. Different age groups struggle with math. From a kindergarten who’s having problem with his "take-aways" to a college student who scratches his head as he tries to figure out his assignment in calculus. So obviously math is not just a breeze.

But one thing about it though that a lot of people miss is that it’s more of a talent than a skill. Yep! This means that it’s actually something than you can work on, something that you can learn. All you need is a positive attitude. For some, a little Math help will do. It doesn’t mean though that just because you need one, you’re already behind your peers. It’s just that people’s brains are wired differently and yours may need a little jump start. There are a lot of means that you may get one. You can hire a private tutor or you can opt for online math help. You may try looking for an online math tutor for online math tutoring. It’s very convenient because you won’t have to go out of the house and you can be flexible with your schedule too. Also a lot of us may feel a little bit ashamed about getting extra help in our math. Free online math help may be your little secret that would be quite easy to hide from your friends and parents. They’d think that a miracle has happened when their used-to-be math loser kid has turned into a math genius, all thanks to free online math tutoring.

Rumpelstiltskin - A Scary Fairy Tale Story

Today I was able to summon the courage to read one of the fairy tales that used to frighten me big time when I was a kid: Rumpelstiltskin.

In case you don’t know the story, it goes like this. There was a miller who lied to the King that his daughter can spin straw into gold. Curious, the king took the girl and locked her up in a tower filled with straw. She must be able to spin all the straw into gold in three days or else she’ll be executed. Just when she’d given up everything, a dwarfish man appeared and agreed to spin the straw into gold for her in exchange for her necklace, and then for her ring. When she had nothing to give, he made her promise to give him her first born. Finally all the straw was spun into gold and the King, impressed decided to marry the girl. After their first child was born, the dwarfish man appeared and demanded that the queen pay her debt. Eventually, the queen was able to persuade him to let her keep the child if she is able to guess her name in three days. Unfortunately for the dwarfish man, a servant of the queen heard him chant in the middle of the night, in the middle of the forest, his name: Rumpelstiltskin! When he went to claim the child again, the queen was able to answer his question and Rumpelstiltskin, because of his anger, stomped his right foot on the ground, where it got caught. Then he tried to yank off with both his hand the same foot and accidentally tore himself into two. So he died and all the straw that Rumpelstiltskin spun into gold in the past went back into being straw.

Until now I still wonder how in the world did this became a children’s story. Rumpelstiltskin’s chant was eerie enough. It made mention of a lot of gruesome stuff like baking the child and eventually brewing it. There is no cute character in it too. When I was younger, I had nightmares after I read this story. Though the story is a “they lived happily ever after” type it still leaves certain paranoia on its readers afterwards. In the same way that the movie “Sixth Sense” left its viewers wondering whether the paranormal do exist, Rumpelstiltskin tend to keep kids wondering about a little dwarfish man who might probably be hiding under their beds, ready to kidnap them if their mom failed to guess its name right.

1Peter 1:1-7 Reflection

Reflection on 1Peter 1:1-7

“These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” 1 Peter 1:7 (NIV)

Gold has been highly esteemed during the old testament. It has been a symbol of wealth and is often used as offering. (Numbers 31:50). Abraham, still called Abram that time, was considered wealthy in “livestock and in silver and gold”(Genesis 13:2). The Israelites brought gold with them when they went out of Egypt (Exodus 12:35)? It was mentioned 491 times in the old testament alone. It is a sign of wealth, prosperity, and favor from God, as gold was abundant in the time in Israel during the time of King Solomon.

Yet this passage in 1st Peter encourages us that our faith is of much greater value than that of gold. 1st Peter was written by St. Peter to Christians who are undergoing persecution that time. He persuades them that their suffering is only for the meantime while what they have their hope on is something timeless. Gold is often a symbol of timelessness. But 1 Peter states that although it takes long for gold to corrode, it is still bound to perish one way or another. It is not so with faith in Jesus. The present suffering is just a refinement. The same way that fire refines gold. But since our faith is of much greater worth than gold, it is bound to come out more precious.

Theatre Tickets for A Social Way of Having Fun!

Good day guys! How is your day? Mine is very well fine. We just had fun with my friends and colleagues at some game of DotA! It is one of our past times because we really need something to loosen up our bodies and lighten up our hectic schedules. Another way is to watch movies and animes. Sometimes we plan on booking our very own Notre Dame Stadium Tickets, Rosemont Theater Tickets and Soldier Field Tickets to watch some football games, concerts and theatrical performances. It would be a very interesting thing to do aside from our hobbies.

God bless and keep the faith intact everyone!

Watching TV Online - Direct TV

Good day guys! Before our computer was purchased, I am a semi-couch potato. I have my tendencies to watch the tv whole day and not do anything but watch tv, even while eating. I like to watch movies from HBO, shows from the National Geographics Channel, and cartoons from Cartoon Network and is a fan of the NBA. Guess what my most watched show on cable is? Billy and Mandy! Ahehehe...I just like to watch Billy's stupidity and Mandy's cruelty along with the death (I forgot the name) which became Mandy's slave.

But when we purchased our computer, especially when we connected to the internet, I discovered a lot of things that attracted my attention and totally forgot about my favorite shows on cable. Direct TV Offers a lot of services which will cater your viewing needs. Direct TV System is common in the internet and is used to watch your favorite shows on the cable and many more through your internet connection.

You can also use it as a sunday ticket with you and your family to watch live games of the National Football League. The price is worth it considering the fact that you don't need the extra fare to go to the actual stadium and pay tickets and fuel for the car. And if you are a busy man, you can always refer to the ticket schedule, for live feeds that fit your very tight schedule.

Some web users switched to Direct TV Packages instead of cable to minimize cost and I think it will, considering the added bill for the cable and for the electricity consumption of the television. I think I will purchase DirectTV in the near future when I earn my own income so that I will get to watch some channels and widen my horizon. I will look for Direct TV Deals that is just right for my need.

Business Christmas Cards for the Christmas Season!

Good day guys! The Christmas season is fast approaching. Another season of gift-giving and sharing. A time to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. A time where family members and loved ones gather around to express their love to one another. It is also a time to greet those loved ones who are far from us through Christmas cards. And how could we forget our coworkers and our superiors in the company, we should also give Business Christmas Cards to them so that everyone will be happy.

The main essence of Christmas is to give material gifts but to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ through expressing our love to everyone, foe or friend.

International Calling Cards - Finding Someone

Good day guys! My week was so frustrating. So many things happened that I can't understand or just chose not to. In spite of these happenings, I still find it so good to just sit around and just watch these things unfold right in front of my eyes. I really just want to sleep and rest my week away. Maybe it is best for me to find someone to talk to. It would be a very nice thing to do.

I am thinking about meeting someone on the web and calling them using International Phone Cards, International Calling Cards and Prepaid International Phone Card. It would like to try it sometime. First stop is to find someone on the web and befriending her. And then going to some phone card and calling card dealer to get some and use it to call her, of course after asking for permission from her. That would be a good dream. And maybe I will find someone whom I can share my life with. Someone I can get along with, someone who cares for me and someone who will make my heart melt every time I see her. And maybe I can go to her country and then take her on a date.

It would be the greatest thing that will happen to me. God bless and keep the faith intact!
