Basic How To's in Cooling your Personal Computer

It's already summer time here in the Philippines and believe me, when it's summer time here it means HOTA HOTA! The average room temperature here is about 30-35 degrees celsius (just an estimation! ^__^). But living in here is like hell. I am almost barenaked here just too cool myself off. And to top it off, the water pumps here are not working. That means no water. Damn!
For us bloggers, our PCs are our life. We can't afford to have our PCs broken. And one factor for a broken PC is overheating. Well we don't want that to happen, right? So hear are tips to cool our PCs.

#1 Keep your room and PC well-ventilated

A well-ventilated room will do the trick. Make sure that your room has a good ventilation system. Keep your fans on and pointing at your PCs. Open your windows, doors and other openings in your house to keep warm air out of your room. Keep the wirings inside your PC neat and organized so that air can circulate inside your PC and doesn't restrict airflow. And keep your casing properly closed.

#2 Don't overconserve your space

Don't keep other electronic hardwares close to your PC. Some people put their printers, scanners, monitors, PCs close to each other to conserve space. This may work on conserving your space but not on preventing overheating. Other electronic hardwares generate heat and keeping them close together make matters worse and may lead to all of them overheating. Always keep about 6-12 inches in between them. This will make their built-in ventilation system work better. Also keep 6-12 inches space between your PC and walls or wood. Also keep your PCs from direct sunlight.

#3 Maintenance

Keep your PC clean regularly. Keeping the outside of your PC clean is not enough. Make sure that all the ventilation intakes and exhausts are free from dust and other obstructions. Clean your PCs at least twice a year. Also keep your heat sinks and other cooling fans and paraphernalia clean and free from dust and lint. As a rule, use vacuum cleaners on the outside of your PCs and compressed air in the inside to avoid damage to PC parts. Cleaning the inside of your PC is very dangerous, so make sure you know what your doing before disconnecting and cleaning yur heat sinks. If you are not confident enough, call your technician for assistance.

Follow these tips for cooling your PCs. These tips will do the trick and will save you from further trouble. God bless everyone and keep the faith intact!

Premarital Sex!

As I watched television, I stumbled on this local show about young fathers. Featuring fathers aged 14-17 years, mainly resulting from premarital sex. And then I ask myself, "What is my stand in premarital sex?" "If the situation presents itself, would I do it?" "Am I firm with my stand?"

There are things to be considered in premarital sex.

Is premarital sex Moral?

As a Christian, I would say it is not moral. God created sex to be enjoyed by two married couple. Premarital sex is termed fornication, sexual intercourse between people who are not married to each other, and it is stated in the bible that "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity…" Ephesians 5:3. Nowadays, premarital sex is common and a natural occurence among teenagers. But it doesn't mean that everyone will just set aside the right values because it is common, no! God promotes complete abstinence from premarital sex.

Is premarital sex safe physically and emotionally?

Protections such as condoms exists in the market today. It is said that it protects users from HIV. Yeah! It protects the user but it only reduces the rate of acquiring HIV by 85%. What about the other 15% of acquiring STDs. And it only protects us from HIV. What about the other STDs? This should be taken into consideration. And what about the emotional effect of premarital sex? What about embarassment, guilt, resentment and most of all lack of respect? And other parents may disown their children. Personally, I prefer my partner to be virgin, wouldn't you?

Sex is not recreation but re-creation!

Sex is intended for reproduction and not just for recreation or fun. Sex is pleasurable and God intended it to be. But it is for married couples to complete their unifaction. And sex is not just sex, butis the act of making love to your partner, LOVE. It is a sacred act only for those couples who are tied by the hands of God. It is intended for married couples to help prevent unwanted children and abortion. Imagine a world without premarital sex. A world without abortion and unwanted children. Isn't it a paradise.

Conclusion

Premarital sex cannot be avoided. But it doesn't mean we shouldn't prevent it. Prevention of premarital sex starts from home. It is important for the parents to educate their children regarding premarital sex and not keeping them at the dark. It is also important to involve them in other activities away from premarital sex. And it is important to ask God for guidance and protection. Don't worry, if you have committed premarital sex, it doesn't mean you will not be forgiven by God. If you repent your sins to Him and commit to change your ways and to distance yourselves to premarital sex. Then He will surely forgive you. God bless us all!

The Long Awaited Finish is Here!

*Warning: Some words used may need experience in Java Programming!*

Good day guys! Have you experienced pressure? Pressure that consume you from the inside and out? Not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally? Have you experienced wanting to explode and give up but yet you continue to do it because either you have no choice or you feel that you can do it? And then, at long last, the pressure and pain that enveloped you is quickly replaced by enjoyment and happiness? Well, that is what I am feeling right now! Whew!

Just recently, our instructor gave us a laboratory exercise in which we are asked to construct and implement a Binary Search Tree and an AVL Tree. Actually, the algorithm is not that hard to understand so I just took my time in coding the program. All went according to plan until I encountered an unexpected error, java.lang.NullPointerException. At first, I was thinking that it's just a minor problem. So I went on debugging and putting some conditions to satisfy and prevent the exception. My line count doubled as time passes by and by the end of the day the code was like messed up. Thinking that I can do it without any help, I continued coding the day after. The same error keeps showing up! I was in panic mode because the deadline was fast approaching. It took me almost 3 days to call it quits and ask help from my classmates. One of my classmates helped me and after about 5 hours of debugging with her, we realized that the constructors were poorly constructed and we had to revise the constructor and recode the whole program. And now, thanks to my classmate, I finally finished the codes but is 2 days behind schedule. This piece of code is the reason for everything. LOL!
AVLTree() {
        root = new AVLNode();
    }

One thing I learned from this ordeal is that if all else fails and you have done everything that you can, you don't need to act tough. You can always lower your pride and ask for help! Always remember that no man is an island!

God bless and keep the faith intact!

Missing My Cousins!

Good day guys! I was just wondering if where would my family go this Christmas vacation. Do you have any family vacation ideas? Well, I just want to spend the holidays with my cousins and relatives in Bohol that I haven't met for years. I really miss them and it would be great to see them and mingle with them this Holidays. Maybe that's the best thing to do this Christmas, but I know, with all the work here and there and with all the financial crisis, it would always be the lesser priority. I do hope that we will spend the Holidays with them.

For a child safe travel this holidays, you can visit babysafetravel.com for tips. God bless and keep the faith intact!

First Time I Am Pissed - Off!

Good day guys! The rest of my day is ruined! Hmppff! I was rewarded with a failed grade by helping my classmates. I helped my classmates by giving them my code for our lab exercise and told them to make it as a reference for the algorithm but instead they just made minor edits and passed it to our professor. Our professor noticed it and divided the total score to us. The total score is 40 and it was divided to 4 of us.

I was pissed-of because all my hard work was just graded with a failed grade. I can't stop myself from cursing and being angry. How can I? I know I made a mistake of giving my code and I have learned not to give your answers to your classmates. If I want to help my classmates, I should have just answered their questions and not give them the final answer or code in this case. I am just pissed-of!

God bless and keep the faith intact!

MSU - IIT Is Infected With AH1N1!

Good day again guys! I forgot to mention that one of my most awaited event just happened. When we entered the school after taking our lunch break. One of our school security guards stopped our car and told us a very disturbing yet, for me, a very exciting thing. He told us that a person, actually 3 persons, entered our school and was confirmed to have AH1N1. We were shocked and was awestruck about the news. Hehehe...

But I think one should not worry because it is not just in school that we can contract this virus. You may never know that the person you talked to a while ago was contaminated. Got my point?

What we should all do is to be healthy and take supplements to help our natural resistance and protection. Instead of worrying about the virus, we should worry about things like Calculus or Precalculus. We can hire or ask a Calculus tutor
for Calculus help and Precalculus help or even for Free precalculus help or Free calculus help.

Whatever we do we should always be reminded that God is always there to protect us from harm. God bless us and keep the faith intact!

Dance Practice - A Tiring Day!

Good day guys! How are you this day? Me? Having a hard time walking due to body pain all over. This is because of our practices for our pop dance competition tomorrow. We practiced for about 10 hours. Whew, it was really tiring, especially our routine but is, overall, a great dance. At the end of our practices we were like zombies ready to eat people. Hehe! Good thing that one of our friends celebrated his birthday and treated us for pizza.

Anyways, before getting back to work, like Denver Programming where they build websites, I would like to thank God for the  opportunity to dance. I needed something like this so that I can unload what I am carrying for the meantime and enjoy. Although it is tiring, it is worth the while. Thank you Lord!

God bless us all and remember that when you feel like giving up, don't worry for God is always watching and plaaning everything in your life. Keep the faith intact guys!

Suicide! - Not A Solution!

Good day guys! How's your day? Having problems again with our boss? Did you and your girlfriend/boyfriend quarrel again about small things? Are you having trouble keeping your relationship? Is your family your problem? Or are you being scolded by your mother? Or do you think God has forsaken you?

Well, I have this niece of mine. She is a happy girl. Indeed a fighter and when we meet sometimes, she always smile and jokes a lot. She is younger than me, about 18 years old I think. But I can see that behind those smiles and laughter is a girl who needed attention. A lonely girl who is desperately in search for love and care.

She was the second child and the eldest sister. Their family is not what you call a stable one. They are, I think, 13 in the family including the parents. She stopped going to school because of financial problems. Tempted by vices like alcohol. Going home late because of drinking sessions and talks back at her mother and aunt. A typical teenager who has lots of problem.

But a shocking news came me as I went to get my laptop from my mother. She committed suicide just this morning. My mother cried and then it hit me, my niece died! She commit suicide! The night before she committed suicide, she came home late drunk and had a big quarrel with her aunt. And then the next morning, she was found hanging cold inside their bathroom.

That was then that I realize that it doesn't imply that if a person is happy, he/she doesn't have a problem. Actually, we all have problems. Whether small ones or big ones, we are given a fair set of problems by our God. And these problems were given to us so that we can become a better person.

Sometimes, we think that our only solution for all these problems is for us to commit suicide. But remember, only God has the right to take a person's life. The only best solution is for us to ask for God's guidance and to have faith in Him that everything will be alright. And you know what, suicide is a sin in which you have no way of asking for God's forgiveness.

Think also of the people that loves you. By taking your life, you will be making them heart-broken and will be causing them a lot of pain.

So remember this, SUICIDE is not a SOLUTION! God is the solution! God bless us all and keep the faith intact!

WARNING - Text Scams!

Good day guys! I would just like to share something that I received via SMS. The message goes like this,

"Congratulations! Last 07/01/09 Ur cell# had won P700,000+N70 Unit from:PCCNS DTI-# 9170 Series of 2009.call nOW 2 claim ur prize.I'M ATTY.Carlo Diaz"

I knew immediately that it is a scam. But still, I got a bit curious as to who sent me this message and if I really won something so I used my chikka account to send a message to "ATTY.Carlo Diaz." There is no reply so I asked my best friend, google, about this certain ATTY.Carlo Diaz and to this PCCNS DTI-# 9170. Mr. Google confirmed it to be a scam.

I am sharing this experience of mine so that you will know that this type of messages are 100% scam. One thing you should consider if you receive a message like this is if you have subscribed to such promos. I personally, do not subscribe to promos, so why did I win? Second of all, If you officially won something, usually, not only a text message will you receive but a call from a representative and a valid and official number, not a cellphone number.

That's it for my experience and I hope that you learned something from it. God bless us and keep the faith intact!

Living A Contented Life

Good day everyone! Sorry for not posting for 2 days. I was just trying out my new laptop and doing my thesis so that we can finish it. Well, I am back! Hehehe...How are you guys? I hope that you are all fine and having living a contented life.

Well, living a contented life doesn't just mean that you are happy or that all of your wants are up on the grabs. You don't have to be sitting on a glamorous chair, having a mansion or a palace with all those kitchenware, glassware, elegant wine glass racks and beautiful and expensive cars.

A contented life, for me, is a life filled with wonderful memories. Memories of friends and family, both happy and sad ones. Well, you can always go for the material things, but one thing is for sure, if ever it is your time to meet Him, our Creator and Father, all of the material things that you own will not matter. What matters for Him is how well and good have you lived your life. How you acted on simple situations like helping a lady cross the street, making your friends and family happy and most importantly is your faith in Him.

God bless us and keep the faith intact! Live a contented life!

A Hard Start!

Good day guys! Just finished eating and very tired from a hard days work. Well, our place here is on a brownout the whole day, so we had no classes. It is good so that I can focus on other areas on our lives aside from academics.

As you all know, we are starting a business. We have gathered some members and are currently about 16 members all in all. These members were assigned positions according to their abilities and their forte, as well as to their liking, to avoid the tendency to work less because they are being forced on their job. We are the current BOD, Board of Directors, and are striving hard to establish our company.

We are currently working on our website so that you, our customers, will see and know who we are and what are our abilities and our works. We are currently working on the design of our website and we, the programmers including me, are waiting for the design so that we may start on the functionality that needed to be worked on. The website would serve as our portfolio.

Starting a small business is very hard, not just on handling and raising money but as well as on managing and keeping the motivation of the members. But as I can see in our group, we are very determined to really start our own business and to fulfill our dreams of managing our own IT Solutions Company. It is a lot of work, but in the end, if everything turns out the way it is envisioned, it would be worth the work.

Good luck on us all! God bless and keep the faith intact!

Water Issues!

Good day readers! It is raining again here! Sometimes I like the rain because it speaks a lonely and troubled heart. Sigh! The rain carries so much emotion. I can just simply listen to the rain drops on my rooftop and be consumed by its music. For me, rain symbolizes my problems. And I know this rain will eventually stop and there will be light to my heart. So emotional! Sigh! Enough with the emo part!

Guys! Do you have water problems? Having a leak in your water pipes? How about your sinks? Are those sink pipes causing your kitchen to be flooded? I know how these are annoying and I got some tips on fixing these problems.

For minor water pipe leakages, you can always use water sealants to temporary close the leaks. This will also hold true for drainage leaks and pipe sink leaks. But for major leakages, you must call for a plumber.

How to choose for the right plumber? Choosing the right plumber is critical in solving your leakage problems. You can always go for your neighbor to help you fix the problem but instead of fixing the problem, it can sometimes add to the problem. So better go for the experienced ones and fix the problems once and for all! You can ask for experienced plumbers through your friends and by searching the net through google. People in Nashville, Tennessee, you can find the best Nashville Plumber by visiting Dixon's plumbing site. You can request for a phone call there and they will immediately contact you. They offer quality service for a reasonable price.

God bless us all and keep the faith intact!

Coincidence or Truth!

Good day guys! Who has a facebook account? Have you taken quizzes?

Well, I took the quiz titled "the first letter of the person who loves you" and I got N!! I was so excited, because I have this special friend that I really love and her name starts with it. But I said to myself, "what the heck?! It's just a quiz!" But deep inside I liked the result and I took a second try on the quiz with a slightly different answer pattern. And you know what?! I still got an N for an answer. That's the first part!

Days after, just a while ago, I took the "first letter of the person you love the most" quiz. Guess what the result is?! Right!! I got an N! That's when I asked myself if it is a sign for me to pursue the girl! I believe in signs although not all signs! But the other side of me is thinking that it is just a coincidence and doesn't mean a thing!

Here is the scenario! We've known each other since I was 14 yrs old and she was 11. But we got close just 1 year ago during our Church services. And my feelings were about 5 months old! (I am feeling a bit depressed now talking about this!) The fear of destroying our friendship kept me from courting her. But just as I was ready and prepared to court her, a disappointing news (for me but good news for her!) came which left me regretting! She had a boyfriend just 1 month before that day. My whole world was and is still in ruins and I got so down. There was nothing I could do but to congratulate her. Until now, my feelings still lingers on!

I have these questions on my mind and I want you, my dear friends, to help me answer these questions!
  • I feel the need to tell her. Should I?
  • If I won't tell her, would it be painful in my part to continue to be with her as a friend?
  • Should I move on with my life and take a distance from her?
Thank you for helping me decide. Actually I have a decision at this point, but your advice would be of great help to me.

God bless us all guys and keep the faith intact!

Single Parents

Good day readers! Just finished eating and I am really full. I have a great family which enjoys cracking jokes with one another. Being together, all eight of us, doing what most family do, enjoying and loving each other. We are not rich, also not poor, and we don't own a big house, just enough for us, but still, we are not complaining and are satisfied with this kind of life.

Families play a very important role, actually the most important role, in our lives. A person first develops and strengthens his values and attitude as well as all of his perception of things around him within the confines of his home, with his family. They are always there to support you in whatever you do and to catch you when everyone around you is fated to leave you.

Being in a family with single parents is not an exception. Having only a father or mother in a family can be confusing or can be difficult for the child, but it is much difficult for the single parent. Being a single parent, I believe, is a very difficult task because you don't just have to support the family financially but also do the job of both a father and a mother to a child.

To be a single parent is not easy and sometimes needs guidance from other single parents to handle successfully the family. You can ask for single parents around your area or find single parent chat rooms for online help on things that bothers you.

To all the single parents out there, i salute you. God bless to you all and don't forget to ask for God's guidance in everything you do. Let His will be done!

God bless us all and keep the faith intact!

Happy Father's Day

Good day guys! I just remembered that it is Father's day today. If not for a text message, I wouldn't have known that it is indeed Father's day. I just greeted my father a while ago and it is a good feeling to let him know that he is the best.

My father is one of my inspirations, to be as kind and as happy-go-lucky but responsible as him. My father cracks a lot of jokes and that made him the official clown in the house. Hehehe...Believe me, my father is very funny. And he usually lets lose of a joke whenever we, me and my siblings, are not aware or whenever we are very serious just to lighten us up. That's his way to let us know that he cares so much about us and loves us very much. My father is a natural born leader and is very good at handling people. And to top it all up, my father is really, really humble.

Well, we should not forget or stop telling our parents, not just our father or mother, that we cherish them and love them because they are the reason that you are alive. They care about you very much and would literally do anything just to make you happy! Maybe you do not understand their methods, but time will come that you will understand everything.

Again Happy Father's day to all fathers out there. God bless and keep the faith intact!

Reformatting my PC!!

Good day guys! Whew! After almost 5 hrs of reformatting my pc, at last I am done. Well, it took so long because I forgot to backup my drivers and as a result my Network Interface Card isn't working because it lacks the proper driver software to make it work. To make matters worse, I couldn't remember what the model number of my card is. I was about to give up and call a technician when I remembered that a network interface card has a sticker on the card itself indicating the model number and the brand. Hehehe...After I got the model number, everything went smoothly since my sister got a laptop and it allowed me to download the necessary driver for my card.

One thing I learned from this ordeal is to not just backup files but also to backup drivers and to make sure that everything that I will need is ready. Well, another problem solved! Hehehe!!

God bless to all and keep your faith intact!

Amazing kid!

I found this video of a kid playing More than Words. I really like the way he played. He has so much talent given to him and of course the passion to play. Well, I play the guitar but not nearly half as good as him. His name is Sungha Jung. I would like to share this video to inspire you to do good in whatever you like to do. Talent is only a small thing, but what matters most is your passion for it and hard work and the most important thing of all is that you offer all the things you do to God.

God bless guys and be inspired! Keep your faith intact!

Song - Heart of Worship

Good day readers! I am here again to share another favorite song of mine. It is entitled Heart of Worship by Hillsong. I like this song because it teaches us that the heart of every worship is not the song or the way you sing the songs or how you pray but the heart of every worship is God itself and nothing more. Even though the music fades away and everything is gone, for as long as we are praising Him and only Him, it is enough for Him. That what He is looking at is our heart.

Heart of Worship
Hillsong

Verse I :

D5 D/C#
When the music fades
Em
And all is striped away
Asus-A
And I simply come
D D/C#
Longing just to bring
Em
Something that's of worth
Asus-A
That would bless your heart

Refrain:

Em Bm Asus
I'll bring You more than a song
A Em
For a song in it itself
Bm Asus-A
Is not what You have required
Em Bm Asus
You search much deeper within
A Em
To the way things appear
D/F# Asus-A
You’re looking into my heart

Chorus:

D D/C#
I’m coming back to heart of worship
Em D/F#
It’s all about you
G Asus-A D
It’s all about you, Jesus
D/C#
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
Em D/F#
When it’s all about you
G Asus-A D
All about you Jesus

Fill: D – D/C# - Em - Asus - A

Verse II :

D D/C#
King of endless worth
Em
No one could express
Asus-A
How much you deserve
D D/C#
Though I’m weak and poor
Em
All I have is yours
Asus-A
Every single breath

Refrain:

Em Bm Asus
I'll bring You more than a song
A Em
For a song in it itself
Bm Asus-A
Is not what You have required
Em Bm Asus
You search much deeper within
A Em
To the way things appear
D/F# Asus-A
You’re looking into my heart

Chorus:

D D/C#
I’m coming back to heart of worship
Em D/F#
It’s all about you
G Asus-A D
It’s all about you, Jesus
D/C#
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
Em D/F#
When it’s all about you
G Asus-A D
All about you Jesus

Whenever we worship God, we should give our all. Even if our voice would be gone, or our arms and legs would be very tired, we should give Him our all. But the most important thing of all is the heart of our every worship. It should be God alone.

God bless us all! Keep your faith intact! I love you guys!

Get ready for Nose Bleed!

Good day everyone! How's your summer? Enjoyed every single bit of it? If not, then you should have because summer is over and school is...well...in. Yeah! Yeah! (- -,)

Fun's over and the harsh reality of going to school comes in. Well, it's not that bad to go to school really. It's just that, I am in my last year and you know what that means, right? NO? Well, that means that I have lots of major subjects right now including my everlasting thesis project. Majors are a lot worse than having A(H1N1)! Add the fact that I am studying in MSU-IIT, a prestigious school known for quality education here in the Philippines. You get to encounter grueling stuff here like all kinds of x's and y's, ln, big Oh's, and stuff I couldn't, or chose not to, remember. Everyday I gotta prepare myself for a major blood loss.

But thinking about it, I should be thankful that I have a chance to take up my chosen course. Better yet studying in a prestigious school where I got to enhance and really become a prepared individual, physically, mentally and emotionally, in the harsh and cruel world of employment or unemployment. Considering that some people cannot go to school because of many factors, including financial instability.

Well, we should treasure our studies because that's the only thing a person can rely on when applying for jobs and that one thing you can be proud of. We should be serious enough to finish our studies and to not just go to school unfocused no matter how grueling and harsh it would be. Study hard and of course ask for guidance and for the strength to face the problems and to not be tempted by vices and other stuff that would lead to your own destruction.

God bless us all! And have a blessed school year to all! Kudos! Keep your faith intact!

Message - Remembrance!

Good day my wonderful friends! This picture is a scanned image of the outcome of our last activity of the recent weekend recollection I attended last weekend.

We were asked to draw an image of ourselves. After we have drawn ourselves, we made a circle and we passed our drawn image around the circle and sign each image that we get. This serves as a remembrance of our recollection. And this is important for me, as well as anybody else, because it would be a good remembrance that there are many people that treasure you. And also to be able to read what they think and what are their messages to you is a good tool to measure and to see what other people perceive you. I was personally touched by the messages. Of course, there are messages that are not that well thought of but there are messages that you can consider as heartily written. It is really touching to read these messages. And also, I would like to boast my drawing! (LOL!) After ages of complete absence of drawing opportunities! HAHA! Well, it's not that great of a drawing but still I am proud.

God bless to everyone! Keep your faith intact!
