Ariza helps LAL take 1-0 lead!

Just finished watching game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. Damn it was so close! It was a hard fought battle. Both teams made great plays. Trevor Ariza stole the inbound ball on a bad pass by Anthony Carter with only 30.5 seconds and Lakers leading by 2, 101-99. Bryant then attacked the rim for two free throws to ectend the lead by 4, 103-99, with 10.0 seconds left. "Mr. Big Shot", Chauncey Billups, then shot a 3-pointer to trim the deficit to 1 with 6.1 seconds left. Kobe Bryant was then fouled to stop the clock and sank both free throws to extend the lead by 3. Derek Fisher then fouled J.R. Smith to make them shoot 2 free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining. Smith shot the first and intentionally missed the second to get the rebound and get the second chance shot. But instead, the rebound went to Bryant who then threw the ball up to win the game.

The two Superstars from both teams, Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony, led their teams with 40 and 39 points, respectively. They went to each other, defending each other. But the game boils down to mistakes on Denver's side, a bad pass from Anthony Carter and useless fouls by Martin.

Well, it was a close one. This would be an exciting series. I hope the Denver Nuggets win this series. Kudos to both teams! God bless and play your hearts out!
