ARK??

Good day everyone! I just came home from a weekend activity, The Weekend Recollection! It was a fun activity, full of lessons and emotional moments.

After the recollection, we went to our friend's house to have fun. I found a dvd of the movie Evan Almighty. Yeah I know! The movie is like two years old. LOL! But still, I haven't watched it so I borrowed it. Well, anyways, I watched it. The start is funny, full of laughs and funny scenes. But what I liked about the movie is that it teaches a lot of lessons. It teaches us to value our family. Most of all, it teaches us to have faith in God. To be patient, to listen and to really trust God.

There would be a portion of our life where we face tough and sometimes insanely impossible problems. Well, impossible it may seem, but what we need to do is to have faith and complete trust God. It may be difficult to do that, I know! But one thing I always keep in my mind that God won't give us problems that we can't handle. Everything has a purpose. It may not be that obvious, but the purpose will be revealed in His time!

Another lesson is the meaning of ARK. Well, in the movie, Baxter really built an ark. It is like Noah's. But the real meaning of the word ARK is revealed in the end. It is an acronym for "Act of Random Kindness." To change the world, we should all start by an Act of Random Kindness. Start by doing kind acts, even if it's just a small thing to do but in God's eyes, all acts of kindness are equal. There are many opportunities to do these acts everyday. Helping your mother in chores, picking up garbage, lending a hand to a stranger, etc.

Let's trust in God always. Put your faith in Him. It will be worthwhile to trust Him. The reward is greater than the problem. God bless us all! Keep your faith!

Royal Rumble?!

Good day everyone! What a day! We watched the final match of our churchmates' team! It was a hard fought battle, but in the end, they couldn't do anything to win the game. Well, it was the end of the tournament for us. We went outside having sighs about the outcome of the game. We were a little bit disappointed about little things 'bout the game. But what we didn't know was that the fight wasn't over. That's the case of our friends having their own tournament outside of the game.

It all started from small taunts in the game that grew when a person kept on poking one of our friends at the back of her head. At first, it was just a minor thing to worry about. As time passed by, the offendant didn't seem contented on just poking and was slapping our poor friend's head. When the game was over, the boyfriend of the victim exchanged words with the offendant and was at each others faces outside the gymnasium. What started out as an exchange of words suddenly turned into a fist fight. But fortunately, there were many people who instantly split them up. It was a heavy atmosphere. People try to get even and some were running, picking up stones, cursing others, as well as threatening each other. Although we outnumbered the offendants, we didn't act as uneducated people and we desperately tried to control ourselves. But still, emotions weren't controlled and some were trying to get even. But eventually, all of it stopped and we went home safely with a face of disbelief on what actually happened.

One thing I learned about the experience was that although we want to get even on some people that did wrong on us, it still isn't the best thing to do. One thing should be done, and that is to pray for those who offended us for their safety and for their forgiveness. It is not us who should decide on what to do to others, but it is for Him, the Lord, to decide.

God bless to us all! And always remember to keep your heads cool always! Adios!

Flores de Mayo?!

I'm back! And what a good news I received! I got rank 2 in my google page rank! WHEW! Well anyways, we had an overnight session with my churchmates to finish the sashes of our darling little queens of our parish's Flores de Mayo, or Flowers of May in English.

Flores de Mayo is a one-month activity in our church where we teach little kids about Jesus and about His mother Mary. It is important for a child to know all about Jesus! We teach them the word of God and His teachings by activities and games. There are lectures but you know kids, they don't seem to pay attention to these stuffs. Hehehe! And at the end of the month, we have this program to culminate the Flores de Mayo where kids from all over our parish gather. One of the highlights of this event is the procession where selected kids portray different roles of the Virgin Mary; Queen of Flowers, Queen of the Virgins, Queen of the Angels, etc. They wear sashes which we made so that al will know who they are.

This is a very fun event. This event will be full of games, activities and food. And most of all, it is very important not just for the games and activities that bond kids, but for the fact that this is for the Lord. Long live Flores de Mayo. God bless us all!

Testify to Love!

I would like to share this video we recorded in the year 2007 when i was still dancing and very much active in our church. The song is entitled "Testify to Love" by Avalon.

Hahaha! Sorry for the "noobness" of our video! But I am proud of this video because it shows our "talent" in dancing and also our bond. This is dedicated to the Lord and to all the people out there who thinks that they don't have the talent in dancing. Well, we admit that we are not that good in dancing, but one thing is important in praising and serving the Lord. You don't need talent! All you need is the heart to praise Him! (I am the one in the second row, guy in a blue shirt to the left of the screen ^__^)

Have fun watching this video!! God bless to all! God be praised!

Exodus Tyson died at 4?!

The 4-year-old daughter of former heavyweight champion, Exodus Tyson, died a day after her accident when she accidentally slipped her head in the loop of a cord hanging under the console of a treadmill. She was pronounced dead just before noon by Sgt. Andy Hill. They said that she was in life support and that the injury on her neck showed that it was a "tragic accident."

“There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus,” the family said in a statement. “We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal.”

Her 7-year-old brother found her and then called his mom. She then released her from the cord, called 911 and then tried to revive her.

Neighbors said that Exodus was a very friendly child and that she says "hi" to everyone she sees. What a sad loss for the Tysons. Especially a child at a very young age of 4. One thing that I learned from this news and that I should share is that, life is too short. Even at and early age, anyone could die. Even if we say that it is so unfair, that the likes of Exodus, so young, would be taken away and was not given a chance to live her life much longer, it is not for us to decide but only for God to decide. So, we better live our life to the fullest so that when the time comes, we won't have regrets. God bless to all of us! And let this be a reminder for all of us! Live life!

Mothers know best?!

Having a tough time takes a lot of toll on you. When you're down and feeling blue. When you feel like giving up, I know a way to boost your spirit.

The best way to loosen up is to talk to your mom. They know how to make you happy. They know what makes you sad. In all of these years of taking care of you, they know everything about you. And most of all, of all the people around you, your mother loves you the most.

To my mom! I am so sorry for everything I have said and done! Forgive me for all the things I did wrong. Thank you for the comfort and the love that you gave to me. You are the reason for everything I do. I love you very much!

Lebron's Game-winning Shot! Even series 1-1

With 1.0 second left in the game, Lebron ran towards the center of the court, received the ball, jumped up, releases the ball and evened the series 1-1. Damn, I thought that the Orlando Magic sealed the game with a jump shot by Hedo Turkoglu with 1 second left to take the lead, 95-93. Well, that's the NBA for you. It isn't over until the buzzer sounds. Whew?! That's Lebron James! Another buzzer-beater for the Cavaliers' star.

Lebron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers with 35 points, including the biggest three points in his carreer. The Orlando Magic was led by their two stars, Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu, with 23 and 21 points respectively.

The game was hard-fought for the Magic where they overcame a 23-point deficit to make the game very interesting and take the lead with 1 second left. But they celebrated too early and had their hopes drained by the big game-winning shot by Lebron. Well, it was a great shot which they can't do anything about it. They did well but it all boils down on the last play.

Kudos to both teams! God bless to all! Game 3 is on May 24, 2009 8:30pm ET.

Nuggets even series 1-1!

Yeah! Nuggets even series 1-1 with a 106-103 win over the Lakers. I haven't watch the game but thanks to the official website of the NBA, I was able to look at the recap and boxscore. It was a hard-fought battle that was highlighted with 6 lead changes with 12 ties. This was the first win of the Nuggets over the Lakers during the playoffs dating from 1985, with 11 straight losses to the Lakers prior to the game.

Like Game 1 both teams were lead by their superstars. Carmelo Anthony has 34 points and 9 rebounds while Kobe Bryant has 32 points and 5 rebounds to lead Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers, respectively. Linas Kleiza also had a huge night with 16 points on 5-8 shooting, 4-7 from outside the arc.

Funeral Eulogy!

sad sky Pictures, Images and Photos
Have you attended a funeral? Have you ever heard a eulogy? Have you ever cried for a deceased loved one? Isn't it sad to attend a funeral? All you can think is the things that the deceased has done to bring laughter or tears in your life. Memories of being together flash through your mind and won't seem to stop. How happy you are for having him/her in your life. Sometimes we have regrets on things we should have done with him/her.

Now imagine it is your funeral right now. You see your self inside the coffin. Everyone is crying. You see your father, mother, brother, sister. There is your best friend in a coat and tie wearing sun glasses to hide the tears. All of your friends, even those you haven't been in good terms with, are there mourning for your loss. Your lover stands and prepares his/her eulogy. Then the question came rushing in your mind. Have I been a good lover? A good son and sibling? A good friend? Did they come here just to pay respect? Have I really touched their lives? What do they remember about me? What will my eulogy contain?

Brothers and sisters! Life is too short. We can die anytime. If it's your time, then there will be no second chances. We should live our lives to the fullest. With no regrets whatsoever. Let's treasure every single second that we have. Because when you were born, everyone around you was smiling and you were crying. Live life to the fullest so that when you die, everyone around you will be crying and you are smiling. God bless us all!

Cavs first loss!

The Cleveland Cavaliers may have swept the Detroit Pistons in the first round, Atlanta Hawks in the second round but not the Orlando Magic. The Orlando Magic proved that they can play at par with the Cleveland Cavaliers and even took a win, 107-106, on the Cleveland Cavalier's Home court where only few teams this season won. With only 14.7 seconds left and Orlando down by 2 points, 106-104, Lewis took a pass from Turkoglu squared up and took the 3-pointer and made the bucket to take a 1-point lead. Williams missed a 3-pointer on the other end. The lose is not the only bad news for the Cavs when James limped off the floor and had blood flowing in his left knee and also apparently injured his right leg.

The Magic used a strong 3rd quarter, 30-19, to storm back after trailing 63-48 at the half time. Dwight Howard had a monster game with 30 points and 13 rebounds but fouled out with only 25.6 seconds left in the game. Lebron James led the Cavs with 49 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists.

Lebron James had a monster night but what is daunting is that their defense was not there and allowed the Magic to shoot a sizzling 55.1%, 45.0% outside the arc. If they want to win against the Orland Magic, they got to turn their defense up a notch and protect the perimeter as well as harras Dwight Howard.

Well, Kudos to both teams! God bless! Next game will be on May 22, 2009 8:00 ET.

Ariza helps LAL take 1-0 lead!

Just finished watching game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. Damn it was so close! It was a hard fought battle. Both teams made great plays. Trevor Ariza stole the inbound ball on a bad pass by Anthony Carter with only 30.5 seconds and Lakers leading by 2, 101-99. Bryant then attacked the rim for two free throws to ectend the lead by 4, 103-99, with 10.0 seconds left. "Mr. Big Shot", Chauncey Billups, then shot a 3-pointer to trim the deficit to 1 with 6.1 seconds left. Kobe Bryant was then fouled to stop the clock and sank both free throws to extend the lead by 3. Derek Fisher then fouled J.R. Smith to make them shoot 2 free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining. Smith shot the first and intentionally missed the second to get the rebound and get the second chance shot. But instead, the rebound went to Bryant who then threw the ball up to win the game.

The two Superstars from both teams, Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony, led their teams with 40 and 39 points, respectively. They went to each other, defending each other. But the game boils down to mistakes on Denver's side, a bad pass from Anthony Carter and useless fouls by Martin.

Well, it was a close one. This would be an exciting series. I hope the Denver Nuggets win this series. Kudos to both teams! God bless and play your hearts out!

Celtics Fall!

The Boston Celtics went down hard in Game 7 of the Eastern Semi-finals of the NBA. They just ran out of gas against the Orlando Magic which used a lot of magic in their win. The score is 101-82. The Magic didn't commit their most rampant mistake, wasting big leads in the fourth. Instead they did everything right in the fourth to extend the lead and put the game away for good. The Celtics fans stood up and gave a courtesy applause for the defeated Celtics as well as for the victor.

Hedo Turkoglu lead the Magic with 25 points on 9-12 shooting and 4-5 from long range. The Orlando Magic found their magic from the outside arc shooting a magical 61.9% on 13-21. The Celtcis were lead by Ray Allen with 23. The Celtics were a dismal 39.2% in the field and a poor 25.0% from beyond the arc.

This was a hard fought series with a lot of heart. If only Kevin Garnett were not injured, this series would be more interesting. Kudos to both teams! Good luck to Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals with the Cavs.

Game 7's?!

Whoah?! The long awaited day is already here. Only hours to go until the games.

Lakers - Rockets Game7

The time has come to show the world if the Lakers are good enough to be chapionship-contenders. This should be an easy task for the Lakers because the Rockets are missing Yao. But on the other hand, the Rockets showed that they have the focus and the determination to win the series by grinding it out with hustle plays and rebounds. This would be an interesting game 7 that will highlight a lot of spirit and will to win. Of course I am going for the Rockets. I want them to beat LA and show the world that they have the heart of champions.

Celtics - Magic Game7

Haha! Another Game7 for the defending champs. One thing I love about the Boston Celtics is their spirit and will to win every game. They are the most banged-up team of the Semi-final teams. They are missing their defensive specialist in the middle in the name of Kevin Garnett and are also missing their best player off the bench, Leon Powe. Aside from that, from the championship team last year they lack another quality player of James Posey and a veteran voice of Sam Cassell. The defending champs is far from last year's team but are still fighting to defend their title. I hope and I know that whatever outcome it results, I know that both teams will give their best. Kudos to my favorite team, The Boston Celtics!

Who Am I?

Good day everyone! Have you wondered who you are? Why these problems come to your life? Why you are so blessed with so many blessings? Why someone loves you? As if, all of your works are not in vain even if most people don't like it. That no matter how bad or evil you have done, still you receive blessings?!

I have asked these questions not just once, but many times. It's as if, every time I ask these questions, the answer changes. And the longer I am finding the answers, the more confused I am on living my life. I haven't found my purpose.

Everything changed when I knew the answer. When I joined Youth for Christ. It was there in my heart all along. I just need someone to confirm it! And the answer to the question Who am I is I am God's son. I am His most precious creation. I was born to be loved by Him. And because of that love, I am given blessings, graces and problems alike so that I can be who He wants me to be. Everything has a purpose in life.

All He wants, is for me to acknowledge Him, to love Him as He loves me. He wants me to have faith in Him always and never leave His side. And I don't intend to leave His side. I will have full faith in Him. I will praise and worship the Lord. I will magnify His name on high. For He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is my provider and I am nothing without Him.

And I am challenging you all to find the answer to the question "Who am I?" To find inner peace. And to have faith in Him! To acknowledge that He created each and everyone of us because He loves us. And to thank Him by following His words by heart.

God bless you in your journey in life! Everything has a purpose! You just have to have faith in Him!

Singing for the Lord!

This weekend will be another busy weekend highlighted with the YFC evangelization camp. The camp starts at 5:00pm GMT+8. This will be held at the Luinab Elementary School. There will be may things to do and one of this is to lead the band and the audience in singing the praising songs for the Lord. This is a daunting and hard task because it requires you to be able to lead the people to sing for the Lord. If you sing too much, it would look like a concert, which is not good. And if you sing with little passion, the people around will not be able to feel the songs and some will tend not to cooperate in praising the Lord. But whatever the outcome is, one thing is for sure, all of this, the Youth Camp, is for the Lord and for spreading His words to others. To all Christians out there reading this post, pray for us so that we may attain victory. This will be a spiritual battle between His people and the forces of evil. God bless to us all!

House on fire!

As expected of the defending champs, Boston Celtics took game 2 with a 112-94 over 3rd seed Orlando Magic. Eddie House caught on fire and poured in 31 points on 11-14 shooting and making all 4 3-pointers. Rondo added a triple-double, his 3rd triple-double in the playoffs and is tied with Celtics legend Larry Bird on making 3 triple-doubles in the playoffs in one season, with 15 points, 18 assists and 11 rebounds. Dwight Howard had 12 points and 12 rebounds while Rashard Lewis added 17 points and 10 rebounds.

The Orlando Magic never led in Wednesday's game trailing by 15 at halftime and as much as 26 in the second half. The small guys, Rondo and House, stepped up with Paul Pierce playing only 15:42 minutes because of foul trouble.

Ako Mismo!

Yo Filipino! This is our chance to be one in mind and soul! I found this site called akomismo in which it consisted of pledges as pinoys in helping our country become a better place to live in! It is like plurk in which you can see the pledges of our fellow kababayan.
This is just a simple site to express what we will do to help our country. It inspires us to see and read what our kababayan has to say. It is also a good way to connect to our fellow kababayan.

Boston Celtics fell short!

I couldn't wake up early this morning to watch the game. So i visited the NBA's official site to look at the stat and bocscore of game1 of the Magic-Celtics series. Honestly, even though I am rooting for the Celtics, I expected them to loose game1 by at least 10 points. But, surprisingly, the final score was 95-90 in favor with the Orlando Magic. I was like, "Damn! So close!"

The Orlando Magic used a balanced attack with 5 players in double digit, led by Rashard Lewis with 18 points. Dwight Howard has a double-double with 16 points and 22 rebounds. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 23 points and Rajon Rondo logging in an almost triple-double, with 14 points and 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Game2 will be on May 6, 2009 8:00pm ET.

What disappointed me was that the home crowd were booing the Celtics. Maybe they couldn't help it seeing the Celtics down with 28 points. But what can they do, they didn't have enough rest going to this game that is only 1 day and had a tiring first round series with 4 overtime games with 7 overtimes all in all. But then again, it's no excuse to lose a game. Let's win game 2 Boston! Let's bounce back!

Semi - finals tip-off!

The Semifinals has started with the game1 of the Nuggets-Mavericks series at Pepsi Center. The Denver Nuggets took game1 with a 109-95 win. The Nuggets were led by their bigman Hilario Nene with 24 points whose spectacular plays kept the Nuggets alive in the 1st half before the Carmelo Anthony dominated in the 2nd half. Dirk Nowitzki scored grabbed 28 points to lead the Dallas Mavericks, who were 0-5 against the Denver Nuggets this season. Chris "birdman" Andersen chipped in 11 points and blocked 6 shots to lead the Nuggets in the defensive end.

Next game would be on May 4 where the Orlando Magics battle at Boston, 8:00 pm ET, followed by Houston at Lakers 10:00 pm ET.

Enjoy guys! God bless

Hatton falls in Round 2!

The long awaited fight is finally here. Fans from all-over the world is just waiting for the gong. As soon as the gong started, Pacquiao and Hatton started to box. After about 1:15 seconds left in Round 1, Pacquiao connected with a right hook and Hatton falls to his knees. Seconds later, Pacquaio connected a successful combination of jabs to down Hatton once more. The round ended with Pacquiao fans cheering and shouting as the "People's Champ" got 2 downs in Round 1. Hatton got back in Round 2, and both fighters exchange punches. With about 14 seconds left in Round 2, Pacquiao connected with a left counter-punch to the right jaw of Hatton. As soon as the punch connected, Hatton falls down and the referee stopped the fight as Hatton has a hard time getting up, even breathing. As soon as the referee announced that the fight is over, Pacquiao fans jumped from their seats and started cheering.

Wow! It was awesome seeing the fight. Freddie Roach predicted a 3-round fight, and he was almost right. 2 rounds with 3 downs! WOW! Amazing! Hatton was nowhere close. Rock on Manny! God bless! Kudos to both of you!

Boston Celtics another chance for a repeat!

After a grueling, physical and exciting series, finally, the Boston Celtics ousted the pesky Chicago Bulls in the best of 7 series in Boston. The final score s 109-99 in favor with the Boston Celtics. Ray Allen scored 23 points to lead the Celtics over the Bulls. Ben Gordon leads the Chicago Bulls with 33 points. The Boston Celtics used a 29-11 2nd quarter to take the lead and held-off the Chicago Bulls to proceed to the semi-finals where Orlando Magic is waiting.

"It was a long, grueling series. I thought this was one of the most mentally tough series I've ever been in," Pierce said. "Thank goodness we were battle-tested and we were able to pull this out in seven games. ... We still are the champs until somebody knocks us off."

"We had a lot of young guys who went through it for the first time. I think that will help us in the future,'' said Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro, himself a rookie. "Whenever you can go through an experience like this, I think it's only going to make you better. Knowing how the level of physicality goes up, knowing how playoff basketball is played. ... It's a great learning experience for us.''

Good job Boston Celtics! Do a repeat!

Denver Nuggets a threat to Lakers?!

The Denver Nuggets is known for a very offensive minded team with Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith, Linas Kleiza, Kenyon Martin and Allen Iverson. But it lacks leadership and a pure point guard. Carmelo can score almost anywhere in the court, wether posting in the paint, shooing 3-pointers and jump shots, there are just few players which is successful in guarding Melo. J.R. Smith also have a shooters touch and can also get hot and athletic enough to get some inside shots and dunks. Linas Kleiza and Kenyon Martin provide back-up mainly in the paint. Allen Iverson is Allen Iverson. But even with a lot of talent, it really lacks leadership and defense. With the Billups-Iverson trade. The Denver Nuggets instantly got what they really needed, leadership in the court and a defensive mentality in the name of Chauncey Billups. "Mr. Big Shot" brings a lot of heart to the Denver Nuggets. And acquiring Chris Andersen gives additional defense in the paint with his ability to soar and block shots.

With a new look Nuggets team, the dominant Lakers squad may have an actual threat to its Championship run. with a combo of Andersen, Nene and Martin in the paint, Gasol, Bynum and Odom will have a hard time getting points inside. That leaves Kobe to score, but with Anthony, Smith and Kleiza, maybe it would slow Kobe down.

This series would be a very good one in the Western Conference Finals given the Rockets and Dallas to fall. Otherwise, it would be a different story. Well, it would be a match-up to look out for. Good luck to both teams. I hope to see this match-up in the West Conf. Finals!

Pacquaio vs. Hatton

The most anticipated fight in the boxing world. Manny Pacquiao versus Ricky Hatton. Pacquaio has the speed and powerful blows. A combination of speed and power punches best describe Pacquiao. But Hatton isn't an opponent to be neglected. Hatton packs very powerful body punches. If Hatton lands some of these body punches to Pacquiao, it would make the fight more interesting. Otherwise, it would be a fight with a lot of heart and determination to win. It is a question of who will be the last standing inside the ring. Ofcourse, as a filipino, I m rooting for our "pambansang kamao". Good luck in your fight. And whoever wins, i pray that noone is hurt to the point where one has to end his carreer. God bless to both fighters! Let's just watch the fight! Go Manny!
